Classic Neptune Black Rope Sandals

I was given my first pair of Gurkee's when I was 14 years old, 20 years ago. Since then, I have purchased a pair nearly every year. I wear them so often, they wear out after a year of heavy use (and by heavy, I mean, picture walking through NYC for dozens and dozens of blocks on the concrete, multiple times a year...). They are the absolute most comfortable sandal ever, and I just love them. I have had a couple different designs, though I like the Neptune the best. I have also owned them in a couple different colors. I have never had a blister, never had the ropes rub my feet. I wear them to the beach, in the city, in the woods, with jeans and with dresses. I'm a girl who loves her shoes, too- but in the summer, this is almost all I wear, unless I'm going to some function that's not casual. I would recommend these to anyone- and often do, because many people ask me about them. I've gotten them for friends, also. I just bought my most recent pair, because I am pregnant, and my feet cannot tolerate sneakers in the summer, plus most sandals are just not comfortable or supportive. These little babies are saving my poor feet.

For myself I've bought 30-40 pairs of Gurkees over the past decade. I've sent a dozen or more pairs to friends in Germany who've admired mine. I've given the Gurkees address to dozens of people, men and women, who stop me to ask about them--from workers at the airport to folks crossing the street who've stopped me. My husband says I should be getting a commission. PS: The missing pair of black, Neptunes for women, size 9, that I ordered in May '14, finally arrived--after 5 phonecalls.
